Our commitment

We are committed to simplifying compliance return filing through reliable software that makes processes easier, more accurate, and more efficient. Our focus is on stability, support, and long-term customer trust.
In 2000, compliance in India was largely manual, fragmented, and dependent on spreadsheets and paper-based processes. Tax professionals and businesses had to constantly track evolving regulations without any integrated system to support them. Workflows were repetitive, time-consuming, and highly prone to errors, making accuracy and efficiency difficult to maintain. This revealed a clear gap for structured, India-specific software that could simplify compliance and bring consistency, reliability, and scale to everyday statutory operations.
Shri Shamji L. Patel, a Chartered Accountant, closely observed the challenges of managing compliance through manual, Excel-driven systems in his professional practice. At a time when technology was transforming other industries, statutory and tax processes in India still lacked meaningful digital support, making compliance repetitive, time-consuming, and error-prone. Driven by this reality, he founded Relyon as his brainchild with a vision to introduce automation into compliance and build a structured system to simplify end-to-end statutory work.
The name Relyon reflects this philosophy — “rely on” the system, where businesses can depend on the software for accuracy, stability, and trust in compliance. That principle has guided every product decision since.
The journey began with Karnataka Commercial Tax Laws on a CD (KCTLC), which digitised access to statutory tax laws for professionals in Karnataka at a time when references were still paper-based. This was followed by early automation tools like CompTax, designed to simplify income tax computation and reduce manual effort. The strong response from users validated the need for India-specific compliance software, laying the foundation for what would later evolve into the Saral suite, built on structure, accuracy, and trust.

Director & CEO

H. S. Nagendra is a Cost and Management Accountant and a founding member of Relyon Softech Limited.
He played a key role in developing flagship on-premise solutions like Saral TDS, Saral PayPack, and Saral Accounts, and in driving cloud offerings such as Saral Pro and Saral HRM for modern, scalable business needs. With over three decades of experience, he brings deep expertise in taxation, accounting, and compliance, and leads the company’s vision for growth and innovation.

Nitin S. Patel

Director & COO

Nitin S. Patel is the Chief Operating Officer at Relyon Softech Limited, leading key functions including Marketing, Sales, Customer Support, HR, and Branding.
He has been with Relyon since 2010, progressing through multiple roles to leadership. He currently leads a team of over 100+ professionals and has played a key role in strengthening the company’s market presence. He holds an MBA from the University of Wales and works closely with the CEO and the Board to drive business strategy and growth.

Mohan S

Non-Executive Director

Mohan S, a Mathematics graduate from the University of Madras and a Chartered Accountant since 1978. He has been a practicing member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for over four decades.
He co-founded Patel Mohan Ramesh & Co in 1982 and oversees its Chennai operations. He is also a co-founder and board member of Relyon Softech Limited. He has extensive experience in taxation, audit, FEMA/FERA advisory, and company law.
